From the desk of model-turned-designer Cecilia de Bucourt comes this multitasking accessory for when you’re torn between staying warm in a long scarf or keeping chic in a chain necklace. Solution: go for the motherload. Far from your standard issue scarf, the tie-dyed, fringed, studded, AND chain linked accessory packs a wallop and solves that pesky either/or conundrum.

Dear Valentine,

Just a friendly reminder as you count down to V-Day, I have my eye on this smooch worthy Sonia Rykiel bag with a pair of red lips on the front. If you buy this for me, prepare to pucker up because then I’ll owe you a real life kiss on the lips.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Having already conquered the menswear and footwear fronts, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are adding another slash to their ever growing contemporary label. The project crunching sisters (the two are weeks away from their inaugural fashion week presentation and just launched junior label Olsenboye) are venturing into casualwear with a 3-piece denim collection which is slated to hit Intermix next month. Named after ‘70s music icons, the Textile line includes the Hendrix bell bottoms, the cropped Joni, and the dark patchwork Stevie jeans. A fun little tidbit is that all three pairs are inspired by actual jeans hanging in the duo’s closets with the Stevie hailing all the way from their high school days. We don’t know about you but anything that can survive the rocky transition from teenage adolescence to fresh-faced twentysomething deserves a permanent slot in our wardrobe rotation. While we count down the days till the jeans arrives, check out some other looks from the label and keep checking back.

Stripes Ahoy!

German-born, London-based designer Markus Lupfer makes waves this season with a nautical collection that takes UES-approved stripes and reworks them with a decidedly LES sensibility. All it required was haphazardly tossed crystals, a load of sequins, and some ravaged black mesh trim. Take for instance a simple Breton striped cardigan that goes from AM to PM appropriate with the addition of a heavy cluster of pearlized; or a marinière-inspired long sleeved frock toughened up with tattered mesh and shoulder pads. With the nautical look already making headway this season, make sure to snap up these striped finds which are making their American debut at Intermix.

Manic Obsessions

No longer just worshipping at the altar of the holy trinity (we’re talking Louboutin, Blahnik, and Choo here), a bevy of red carpet PYTs are adding Brian Atwood to those hallowed halls. The footwear ace touts a devout well-heeled following which includes the likes of Leighton Meester, Vanessa Hudgens, Megan Fox, and Rose Byrne (the nominated Damanges starlet wore his signature Maniac pumps to the Golden Globes last month). Feel free to add your name to the shoe frenzy by preordering a pair of his wear-with-all nude pumps. Pulling rank as our #1 most preordered item this season, the patent pumps are known for hidden platforms that make for a seamless finish.

La Ruche

Leave the double exposure to your gams with this long, long sleeved mini dress. The double layered jersey frock has such lengthy sleeves that the excess fabric leaves a scrunched effect at the cuffs. Modest in comparison, the bodice is cut to reveal raw-edged seams along the arms while its skirt is ultra ruched along the sides. Though you may not see it from all the gathering, its bubble hem is actually twisted at the center.

Twisted Jersey Dress, $250
Also in black.

Tailor Made

Made-to-measure utilitarianism seems to best describe Rag & Bone’s latest collection of sporty denim pieces in five words or less. An ode to the brand’s core sensibilities, the collection is a homage to the “functionality and integrity of American work wear spun with a bespoke British twist” that evokes thoughts of Savile Row. We’ll keep you posted as the next wave of spring pieces trickle in. For now, take a peek at the duo’s sportier take on the military field jacket – a look that doesn’t read as structured as their usual regimental garb. The multi-tasking jacket goes from casual to dressed-up in a pinch. Pair it with cigarette jeans or even a flirty frock a la their spring runway show.

Buy this bag in the name of all things animal-friendly… at least that’s the excuse us girls in the office are giving to our male counterparts who might not understand our bag hoarding tendencies. Having been spotted while perched on the arms of celebs the likes of Kate Hudson, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian, this latest version of Stella McCartney’s vegetarian Falabella bag is poised to be another sell out. Trimmed along the edges with chain links, the bag maintains its signature features just in a more compact and rectangular size to go with its smaller price tag.
